People value scarcity

Isn’t it funny how something is valued higher when it’s scarce?

Diamonds.

That “really hard to get” Google+ invite.

Foie Gras.

This same concept holds true in job hunting. The “A” players are harder than ever to find these days and that’s why they’re so highly valued.

Be scarce by being an “A” player. Because if you’re not, well, you’re just sliced bread.
